Dear jurgenhaas,
/You are receiving this message because you have commit access to a project on Drupal.org. Please read this message carefully, as action may be required to prevent disruption to your Drupal.org development workflow./
The Drupal Association engineering team will soon be announcing changes to the developer tooling on Drupal.org. To prepare for these changes we are notifying all maintainers of important updates to Git authentication https://drupal.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=618af7a460cf93cf211231139&id=5377afe7a6&e=28bea8af73 for Drupal.org-hosted projects.
- Password authentication for Git is being deprecated. We recommend that all users switch to SSH key authentication
- Git remote URLs for maintainers of full projects have changed: o If you have an established git remote in the format |@git.drupal.org:project/.git| the format should be changed to: |git@git.drupal.org:project/.git|
- HTTPS Git remote URLs for full projects will not change.
- All Git remote urls for sandbox projects have changed as well: o For remotes of the format: |@git.drupal.org:sandbox//.git| the format should be changed to: |git@git.drupal.org:sandbox/-.git| o HTTPS Git remotes will be changing from: |https://git.drupal.org/sandbox//.git| to the format: |https://git.drupal.org/sandbox/-.git|
The new Git remote URLs are on each projects’ Version control page. Legacy Git remote URLs will stop working in the future.
If you have any distributions or automated systems, such as CI pipelines or mirroring—ensure they are updated as well, or are using the HTTPS URLs that will not change.
If you encounter any issues when making these changes, please open an issue in the Drupal.org Infrastructure queue https://drupal.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=618af7a460cf93cf211231139&id=09474f2532&e=28bea8af73.
For more detailed information about these changes, as well as instructions for changing your Git remotes or setting SSH keys, please consult these instructions: https://drupal.org/gitauth https://drupal.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=618af7a460cf93cf211231139&id=e527cf9d5a&e=28bea8af73
